Tornado Damage, Power Outage

This is what it looks like all over town. Trees across the roads with power lines down too. The power was out for 2 days for most people and some still have no power.
This car was in town parked in a local parking lot, the parking lot flooded and it was flooded. Notice the water flowing out of the underside of the car and doors. Bummer !

This is pic of the local McD's sign with lots of damage too! Everyone has damage it seems. Some have trees down, some have roof damage, wind damage, trees uprooted (huge oaks just lifted out of the ground), barns distroyed, it has been quite a mess here.

Storm, Tornado damage in Salem, MO Dent county

This is a pic of some local flooding after the tornado here in Salem. This is a pic of one of the local baseball parks under water. The water is so deap and running so fast that it actually took out the fence in several locations as well as one of the score boards!

Raised bed garden

We have expanded our garden by 2 more raised bed. This gives us a total of 12 that are 4 x 8 ft. This is a pic of the tomatoes in 2 of the beds.

Gooseberries

This is our gooseberry bush, which is LOADED right not and just about ready to pick. It is a hard job as the thorns are terrible. I love to make gooseberry/strawberry jam...yum!!!

This is our tiny Pond

Cullen put in this pond about 2 years ago and it is finally looking like it belongs. All of the plants and herbs are growing in around it nicely. The is tarragon in the back, mint and thyme in the front, along with other things too.

Rhubarb

This is our rhubarb growing like a weed.
