Kenny At the park

Here is Kenny on one of the taradactel swing set in one of Rollas local parks. This is a small little park but all of the equipment is shaped like different dinosaurs, as you can see here.

This stegosaurus is a super fun climbing tool for the kids too, kenny loved it.

This is another "big" dinosaur, with the slides as legs and the tail and head are all to climb on.
Kenny has always loved dinosaurs and so this is a nice little park that we stop at every now and then. The dinosaurs make it fun.

Flying Kites!

We decided to fly kites a few days ago, since the weather nice, sunny but very windy! This is Kenny, working his kite. He has so much fun.
Here is Cullen, getting his kite ready to fly.
Simone was untangling her kite here so she could get it up in the air.
The wind was really gusty and almost to much to fly the kites, but it was still very fun and a great time for everyone.

Our Sunday drive

We decided to take a little "drive" around after the bad weather and here are some pics of what we saw. Here is a tree blown over in a field...there were about 5 of them all in one area from the storm (leftover Ike).
We has a lot of rain in a short amount of time and there were several roads with water over them...this pic shows one...and the rain had stopped several hours by this time.
I took this pic as we were driving...I was happy it showed, cause we were actually moving quite fast. It was a beautiful site with the sun peaking through the clouds... When my dd was about 3 or 4 years old, and it had been raining...and we saw a similar view as this, she told me that "that was God peeking down from heaven, checking on us." Every time I see the suns rays shining through like this, it reminds me of that. It is funny what little kids say.
This big hornets nest was hanging from a limb over the road. We stopped to take a picture, but didn't stay long, lol. It was a big one, that is for sure, but we are not very close it it.

wii dance dance revolution

Yes, we are, lol! The wii dance, dance, revolution is so much fun...Here is a quick peek at our family, right in the middle of a big dance off. Cullen is on the left side, with Simone in the middle and Kenny on the right side...well that leave me, behind the camera, taking the pic.
Here is Cullen dancin' his butt off...we had a ball, just laughing and having fun.
Simone and Kenny dancing the day away...they have way more energy than I do, whew!!!!!!!!!!
I personally do like the wii dance dance revolution, it has been a real plus for our family...it not only allows us to "play" together, but allows us to get some needed exercise (especially during the bad weather days in winter). I give it 2 thumbs up for getting the kids off the couch. I also give it 2 thumbs up for getting mom and dad off the couch too!!! If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should.

Snackin' Time

This is one of our family favorites when it comes to snacking. It is caremal popcorn with nuts in it. My husband likes to make it and it is super too. It is almost addictive.
This is a huge batch he made. We like to eat it warm and gooey, but he takes the "rest" and bakes it in the oven till it is dry and no longer sticky and it is somewhat like cracker jacks. It lasts longer that way.

Snow Cones anyone

We have started a Snow Cone stand as a family/homeschool project. It has been very fun and we have already learned a lot, not to mention we have eaten a ton of them too. The pic is of Simone and Kenny on one very hot Friday afternoon, selling the snow cones.

BQ wisdom at Silver Dollar City!
